You can get many variations from china. Check the typical sites to order stuff. I ordered several type. One is fitting great and looks nice. Just measure the metal and check for the right sliders. Very cheap and looks great!

That's great! I don't know the typical sites so if you could suggest the site with the one that fits great it would be most helpful.

I used these buttons, had to adjust them a little bit by taking out a small part of the plastic:

Perhaps others fit better, you can find many different sizes and colors.

Have Nord addressed this Issue,so that newer Waves don't have any dodgy slider caps?

Have Nord confirmed its a dodgy Batch of sliders???

After seeing how Nord put their Keyboards through a Heat test as part of the Quality control (essentially baking the Keyboards  )I wonder if this is what is causing the Plastic caps to split??

The sliders are a different material to the usual rubberised Knobs that Nord use and perhaps a substantially cheaper Plastic compound than the usual nord push buttons,so perhaps the Heat test is causing them to split or maybe they are Just cheap Chinese imports??

I'm looking to purchase a Nw2 but am a little put off by this unless Nord have addressed the issue,I know they can be replaced but its not the usual Nord Quality that I'm used to so am becoming a bit sceptical seeing as people have also been having issues with their Stage 3s as well,And a guy I know who works in a Musical instruments retailer has told me that some people have had issues with the OLED displays on the Wave 2 also, as he's had 2 people had to have theirs repaired,!!Is nords Quality control standards slipping,or are they using cheaper components to keep costs down??

I've never had any issues with my Nord Keyboards but seeing the problems people have been having with the last two Newer Generation Nord Keyboard releases is not filling me with confidence in future purchases!

Mine are still not fully broken yet, but Sweetwater sent me a spare set. It looks like when they developed the Wave 2, the slider caps were sourced from a less than reliable producer, and it was a new part for Nord. I don't remember sliders on any of their other instruments-

Same problem here. Contacted Nord and via the distributor in Belgium I got four new caps. Very good service. The broken cap could be fixed with superglue.

i have the same problem too. bought the wave2 new in january and 2 faders did the same thing within the first week....later a third. on inspection , i noticed they all had cracks in them.

i contacted the store i got it from and they got in contact with the distributor in canada. unfortunately, the faders have to come from sweden/europe. been a few months now, and i'm starting to follow up on where they are.

besides that, i agree, the synth is built solid and i'm really enjoying it especially for big ambient explorations.

cheers,
bee

Hey Bee Lodge. I notice you too are Canadian and like I did, have to deal with Jam Industries. I finally got my new slider caps several months later, after jumping through quite a few (unnecessary) hoops. Other wave2 owners had good service from their country reps and I think Nord ought to look into their Canadian rep. I don't think I had good service. It requires some patience, and you'll probably have to bug them a few times, but eventually the slider caps do show up. I hope nothing really serious breaks down. Wouldn't want to have to stop playing my wave2 for a couple of months.
