me too. The white grand on the nord grand is just heaven.
I found myself today in a place where I've been quite a bit lately, a place where I just feel lost, alone, broken, like a piece of me is missing. yes, that piece missing is my dad. I'll always miss his christmas dodgy songs, setting fire to the odd chicken, carbonised roast potatoes and accidentally setting fire to a tea towel just for good measure, whilst swearing at the cooker. mum's my own "santa" due to the grey beard, etc, has left this earth, free of any pain, etc. but has left a huge void to us both. it's now our 3rd christmas without him as he died during christmas.
I'm supposed to be performing midnight mass, I've passed it to another organist, I've gone to rehearsals and can't cope, it's too much pain.
so, I'm going to sleep through most of christmas or work through it, there's things that need doing, etc. It'll distract me, like getting the studio furniture etc installed, etc.
Though I don't feel anything saying it, I just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Joyful 2020. Let us hope that this new year brings positive ground, new changes for the better and hope where there is despair .
Though Raised between Catholic and Anglican faiths, (best of both worlds), I offer a prayer, you don't have to read if you aren't a follower or religious, but here goes.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
Amen.
Hail Mary Full of grace,
The lord is with thee,
Blessed art thou amongst all women.
and blessed be the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for our sins, at the hour of our death,
Amen.
Our Father,
Which are't in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth, as in heaven,
Give us this day, our daily bread,
Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors,
Lead us not in to temptation,
deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom,
The power and the glory.
Amen.
Lord our Father,
We celebrate the name of Jesus Christ very soon,
At such time, we remember all that has happened and all we have faced,
We have faced many battles, together and apart,
For this day, we show thanks unto you for your gift of creation.
For we, your servants in Christ, to which we sing your praises,
we play our music for the world, those close to us and to you.
Heavenly father, I ask that at this time where there is such despair,
may you hold us, guide us show us your true love for us,
guide us where you believe we should be, as you believe in us, as believe in you.
Merciful Father, I ask that you show those who need you, your true self,
hold them, guide them, share your love and faith with those facing such troubled times.
For those whom are sick, alone, grieving for those lost dearest to them, for those living on the streets,
for those who have lost their way in life, have lost your guiding light,
for the elderly and infirm, the homeless and poor, the incarcerated and trapped.
In your name and of the name of your son Jesus Christ,
who died, was resurrected and forgave us our sins,
we ask this in your name.
Amen.
Glory be to the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning,
Is now and ever shall be,
World without end,
Amen.
In the name of the Father, And of the Son, And to the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
I bid you all a good night.
