I could have sworn one of the stock pianos (Velvet?) was already a Bluthner Model 1...
At least from the description, it says: "The Velvet Grand is a large concert Grand (280 cm - 9’2”) of German heritage with a remarkably rich, soft and soulful tone" and the filename is called something with "Model1" so that's maybe a good guess as to what it is. I don't remember what the INFO button tells; maybe it gives a clue too?

Maybe you just need to apply the equivalent of the "Konmari" method (by Marie Kondo) to your piano samples :-)

But of course a new board with more memory is always a nice opportunity to upgrade...

.........hahaha........... maybe I just need to apply the "Konman" method to everything else in my life, and then I can have as many samples as I "need" in my instrument because it would bring me more joy. :p

The Velvet is a Bluthner...what about a Bechstein? For good old Freddie Mercury, that was his board of choice. Plus Bechstein is a pretty big name:

They could do a Grotrian-Steinweg too - I know the Amber is there but that's an upright.

Gambold,

2 great options there!

Modartt recently released a physically modelled C Bechstein for their Pianoteq library and it's not too bad - https://www.pianoteq.com/bechstein

Although I still prefer the Nord pianos over the Pianoteq in a live context as there's no need for additional hardware.

I wonder whether “Soft White” might refer to a filter, rather than a distinct sample...

The White Grand sounds very bold and cutting from that short sample. Would probably go well in a mix :)

Maybe they modeled Lennon's Steinway. Now THAT would be grand.
