This 'unofficial' Forum is dedicated to the Clavia Nord Keyboards, including the Nord Stage, Nord Electro and Nord Piano. Discuss any issues around Nord's keyboards, share your favorite patches, samples, and music. We are not affiliated with Clavia!
Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.
Stage has so many more controls, you couldn't stick with that look/form factor. And Stage already has the 2 GB piano memory. So all that's left is the better piano action... which may be a mixed blessing if it is worse for organ/synth.
A Nord Grand Stage 88 Special Edition and a Nord Controller Keyboard (for Organ and Synth)..... just a dream....

Ouch, MORE than a Stage3 and over 1000 € more than a NP4? That's steep, even considering the licensing fees to Kawai.
Let's wait for street prices, I hope they will be more around the €3K mark...

Based on the weight, it can't be a VPC1 action. Probably the RHIII of the MP7SE/MP8 or variant of it.
Same doubt but otoh the best Kawai non-wooden action is the RH3 which doesn't have sensors on the hammers (as Nord/Clavia claims in multiple sentences, on the Nord Grand product page); could it be that Kawai has made a lighter version of RM3 or GF-C, purposely for Nord?

Note that the triple pedal is included, per the specs page.
If you're a high-end home user, I suppose the "all in" package would also mean purchasing the wood keyboard stand, music rack, and the Piano Monitor (plus a third-party sub?). How gorgeous would all that be?
This really begs for that mythical Nord piano stool, too...
