Listening thru a pair of Genelec 1032A's, the 1.60 versions sound richer, more full-bodied and, to my ears anyway, more realistic.
The 1.40 versions seem to have a thinner, more brittle tone that reminds me a little of the 1980's/90's Korg piano sound; of which I was definitely NOT a fan!
But, as IanzKeys pointed out, it's horses for courses.

It would, but it'll take me a some time to before I can find a slot to do it :-)

There is none better than you to do it sir. We are counting on you. By the way, I can figure how it could be done but a release time measuring and an harmonic analisys of the isolate samples would be very nice.

Carlos, just find and download the older version and install it. The downgrade is made the same way the upgrade is.
You can find some of them here in forum or in our brazilian whatsapp forum just send me a privade msg if you are interest to get in.

Just received verification that the 1.50 OS update did, in fact, “improve” the responsiveness and evenness of the piano keyboard, as noted in the release notes:

“Improvements to keyboard handling for increased evenness in touch”

I still prefer the sounds pre-1.50, but glad to know it’s not a bug.

I fell in love with the clarity of the piano sounds on this board, so I rolled back to 1.40. Still synth polyphony issue, but I have my piano sound back

I like 1.60 piano sound. Before it was to harsh ant thin. It's nice to have "natural" piano. 3d piano now sounds amazing.
