Re: New OS1.60
Ha88... Maybe they are just personal feelings .... Who has only had the ns 3 without offending anyone maybe does not know how they sounded before the same champions of the plan .... If someone has had previous stage north is agrees with me make you feel .... Before 1.60 precisely at 1.36 I was able without enthusiasm to find decent equalizations that however I liked ... Now no more ... I will try again try again .... If someone wants to share some equalization of pianos I will be well happy to hear it ..

Re: New OS1.60
I have the NE3, NE6, NP4 and NS3. The best piano sounds are in the latest generation, in my view. I prefer not to have any equalization on the acoustic pianos.
When the NS3 came out, some people complained that it lacked nuances in the ppp to mp range, finding that it was too easy to get too MUCH treble/high-end content compared to the NS2 series. Others felt that in particular the NS3 Compact was now much better also playing pianos on. My NE6 is certainly MUCH better to play pianos on than the NE3, so I think there are also great improvements on the SW keyboard based ones.
The NP4 also, of course, uses the same samples, but is heavier to the touch than the NS3, and thus sounds a bit more "muted" at low velocities -- which I somehow prefer as it's nice to have a wide dynamic range when needed. But in my view, the NS3 is very playable, and improves with every release (including the latest ones).
Have you tried playing for a while at KBD TOUCH 1 for some time, if you prefer a brighter sound?

Yes, really good!
I think leonardo1 is saying that he cannot get a good sound with the latest firmware in the NS3? The recordings were with an older Stage, no?

Re: New OS1.60
These are really tasty pieces, @leonardo1! Very well done
It doesn't look to me like you have a heavy hand when playing, and if the sound that you're looking for is in the direction of what you posted above, I'd guess that using KBD TOUCH 1 (or 2) could help you get a more distinct treble-sound. What acoustic piano sample is the tune above based on?
The MkV (which I also like a lot) probably still needs some EQ -- and I suspect there are some differences also in the EQ section between the old and new NS, which is maybe why it's not so easy just to "reproduce" the sound by copying settings.
But I doubt that you should not be able to get the sound you desire out of the NS3 -- but it may be that you also adjust to the instrument once you get past the hurdle you're at now.
We'd really like to help, if only we knew what and how

Nice Lenny. Love the EP/B3/EP transition in that last piece.

Re: New OS1.60
For some reason, my organ engine has began malfunctioning since I updated to 1.6. The Hammond sounds at about 1/2 the volume compared to the other engines and the pipe and transistor organs have completely disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else?
