I have a ns3 compact. I tried to download the attachment and upload it to my Nord Sound Manager but it says it's incompatible.

Hi Jeffsaylor,

which of the various attachements of this thread did you try to upload to the ns3 compact?

Hello,
Looking through the thread it can be somewhat confusing. My program at the top works well with the 76 and 88-key models, and KeyBard created two programs for the NS3 Compact including the violin part at the end. My samples ("WhoBabaORileyFGW.nsmp3" and "WhoBabaORiley32W.nsmp3") and program are at the top of this thread and KeyBard's programs are above at

Please check out my version I did with my drummer.

I cut out the original sounds in the new sample manager and then arpeggiated the left hand, and sampled the right hand further on

Nice job!! It's interesting the way you put together the parts. I left the arpeggio on the left hand that some find helpful for putting on hold so both hands can be used for the piano part, but your approach would make the timing a little less of an issue by manually covering the part. When you have a chance, I'd appreciate you posting your samples for folks. Take care

Thanks!
I did that at first. But my nord didn't allow me to play the piano part, very strange, it sounded like it had something to do with polarity. I'll Post the sample, but it's difficult to explain how to use it, it doesn't make a lot of sense

Let me ask what should hopefully be an easy question. The Lowry sample is awesome, but I'm struggling to decide what piano to layer over it. I've tried a few of the Nord offerings, but they all seem almost too "clean" as compared to the original. And I haven't been able to find anything describing what Townshend played for the recording. Also, wondering what others are doing to cover the Irish jig at the end. Been playing the violin solo with a Nord sound, but the background arpeggios are different than what's going on at the beginning ... at least, I think they are. Appreciate any insights.

Yes, the piano is a little "darker" on the recording. I think I used the Grand Lady D on this, which could be EQ'd a little, but you might want to see how it comes across playing live. If your rig isn't going through the PA, you probably don't want to take any of the brightness off that will naturally happen with the room.

The WAV files I posted could be used to create the ending by piecing together individual notes or you could record the riff using the 32nd notes sample and then create a new sample with it playing in a loop. Attached is one for the C note playing just before the violin comes in. The timing can be adjusted using Audacity or other audio editing software, or you could opt to play the note manually so the timing is easier to transition to which is slower than the intro. I hope this helps, take care.

I noticed at the top of this thread that WannitBBBad did an edit. Were the programs or samples tweaked/changed at all?
