I'm looking at version 6.5.2 for Windows, and I don't see anything there. Are you pulling our legs?

Edit- I just downloaded version 6.86 and yes, the strings are there.

Code: Select all

Wow, interesting code "hacking"
But I 'm afraid it doesn't tell us much...simply confirms that a Stage3 is planned (we could guess anyway), but in 2017 or 2018? No way to know...

Ya never know. They could end that model line and launch something new in its place with a new name.

Would love to see both the NL A2 and NL 5, or at least one of them at Winter NAMM 2017.

In Nord's Youtube Channel there's a photo that seems to be from a Stage 3?

Do you mean this photo?
Image

It is of a Nord Piano 3.
It is the same as the one they use as a header for the Nord Piano 3 page.

I've had my NS2 EX Compact for almost a year and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if they brought out an NS3. My NS2 is the best keyboard I've ever owned and I've had so much enjoyment out of it.
If they did bring out an NS3, I would really hope that they put a decent display on it. Even my printer has a better screen than the NS2! They could even just put a cheap smartphone touchscreen in there and it would be a huge improvement.
I also think that the synth section should be much more powerful - maybe up to 4 sounds, with more flexible key zones, as this is where it falls down against other "normal" 16 part multi timbral synths.

Personally, I would like to know what Nord's plans are for a new Organ. The C2D is at least 5 years old now and some other Clones have done alot of catching up and even surpassing in some cases. The last thing any of us Organ players want to do is go out and buy a new C2D only to have Nord release one in the next 12 months. I fully appreciate that the organs are probably not their biggest sellers, but I would certainly like to see what Nord would be capable of 5 years on. While I think the C2D is astounding, here's a few things I would like to see in the eventual C3D.

- Triple sensor keys (Nord already use this on the Piano 3 and Hammond have just introduced it on the XK5)
- Some sort of, even if limited, option for EP and Acoustic Piano layering. Plenty of organ players out there thought this functionality on the Hammond SK2 was great, but all of them would have preferred Nord's superior Piano sounds! I would happily sell up my E5D if the C3D included this...In effect a dual manual Electro would be perfect!!
- OLED Display. I love the OLED Display and menu systems on my E5D, only makes sense to add it to a new organ.
- Possibly an update on the Vibrato and Chorus sounds. They've come a long way, but there's no reason why they shouldn't be the best.
- More editable settings for the Leslie sim. They're current sim is excellent, but some additional perimeters would make it extra special.

I think that would just about do it for most organ players out there...any other thoughts?

...or something nobody is expecting...
A drum machine
A wind controller
A bass pedal synth

...but Stage 3 is the most logical next step.
