OK, I'm tired of the guessing game. Seems to me that we cannot figure this out remotely and no-one has responded with similar issues.

The picture showed indentations that were not on the side edges of the keys. Makes me think that smear usage is not part of this. If all the indentations are away from key edges, that would imply that the contact which is causing the indentations is related to playing (or attempts to play), at a time when there is no cover on the keyboard.

Do you move keyboard to extreme conditions. (ie hot to cold or dry to humid etc)? I'm wondering if a quick change in environmental conditions can stress the material of they key and cause this.

That certainly gives the visual appearance of someone using an ice pick to play. Never heard or seen anything like. Ever. (except for your report)

An octave of replacement white keys can be had relatively inexpensively...

I just looked at the photo... I have similar markings on the keys of my grand piano, purchased from a family who's toddler enjoyed teething on the keys. So, I'm guessing either a kid or an animal is chewing on your "ivories". Mice, perhaps?

Some small animals do indeed chew on plastic materials.
