Hello Spookie,

Was looking for the supertramp Wurli.
Found it here : nord-stage-2-programs-ns2p-ns2pb-files- ... 15482.html

Tried searching for "wurli" on the nordsamples site but could find it ?
Then I thought it was because the file is not an nsmp nor an ns2p but a bundle !

What's the status for the referencing of the bundle files (if this is indeed the issue) ?

Fred

Hey Fred.

It seems there were 46 ns2pb files in my initial list. And 13 did not get inserted into the new DB (Wurlitzer 200A.ns2pb is one!) . I wil add these missed 13 sounds this weekend.

Thanks Spookie !

I wish I had time and a spare NS2 to load samples and create the mp3s !

Hello. I'm a new user here, and no, I didn't read all 20 pages in this thread. ;)
Just wanted to ask quickly: What would be the preferred method to upload patches to the nordusersounds.com database, and post them here for reference.
Does the Nord User Sounds database scrape the forum for sounds automatically, or should I upload the patches to Nord User Sounds first, and then link to them in the forum afterwards?
Just want to know what's the easiest way to do it.
It's worth to mention that the NUS says I could enter an "Activation code" when registering, but I don't have an activation code present on my profile page. Under my profile it says: "NordSamples.com Account Activation Code:" - but the field is blank.
Thanks, the NUS DB looks great btw!

"...However if you are already a member of Nord User Forum the best place to start is by checking your user account where you’ll see an activation code on your user control panel under the 'profile' tab. After taking a note of the confirmation code, just sign up (as above) and enter the activation code during the sign up process. We use this code to establish a linkage between users on this website and owners of original source files on the Nord User Forum..."
Sometimes we have to read...

Hi Leo - thanks for the reply.
As I mention in the last paragraph in the above post, I don't have that activation code (screenshot attached).
So yes that would be nice, but I already signed up, and didn't have the activation code to enter.
So the questions still remaining are:
- Can I get an activation code?
- Can I enter it on NUS? (I already did sign up)
- And still, what's the preferred way to upload patches - per my first post.

The NUS front page says this:
This website contains searchable metadata that references user contributed samples, programs and 'sounds' found at the Nord User Form (norduserforum.com).
However, it's not clear to me whether the account link (if you have one) is only "backwards" (importing existing forum sounds to NUS), or a persistent link, where sounds will be imported continually.

Thanks.

Hi,

I registered some weeks ago - and didn't have a code neither. Got the information that you only have a code if you already posted a sound in this forum (in the past). And it is only for synchronizing your old sound posts on either forum.

Somebody else would have to answer you the other question: Better uploading sounds here or there? In any case, would be nice to upload an MP3 sample along with your "sample" file.

Hi. Thank you very much, that explains a number of things right here.

Until I get another impression, I think I'll upload my patches and samples to NUS database first, and post a link to those sounds here on the forum afterwards.
At the moment, that seems to be the intended way of doing it, since I'm not interested in uploading patches and samples at 2 different places. And yeah, I'm definitely considering providing sample sounds as well. 8-)

That's correct, the code is only for people who already uploaded samples and patches, and link them to your account.

HI,

To answer your question about the best way to post. The preferred way is to post to NUS database, and then link to the page from this forum. There is a handy feature that lets you embed the sound directly in your forum post using the link feature [nordusers0unds]50165[/nordusers0unds] For example here is one of Schorsch's most recent.
