Having the Nord Wave 2 for a couple of days now, it’s a breeze to work with. As I expected, I find it more of a big upgrade from the A1 than a follow up from the original Wave. (I have a A1, never had a Wave).
If you know your way around the A1, you will quickly know your way around the Wave 2.
I especially love the new reverb. There is a cathedral reverb now and next to that you have a choral option on the reverb that you can use on different types of reverb.
I tried to get my head around FM synth in the recent past, but found it to complex. The FM in the Wave 2 is easier to grasp, and I can get pretty good sounds quickly.
After re-programming my sounds from the A1, how quickly that went, how good it sounds, I’m going to part from my A1.
I like the keybed, it’s less noisy than my stage 2ex.

Great video!

I love how he showed the features of the board without fancy presets or effects. Most useful video yet. Cannot wait for mine!

I’m curious what software version he’s got on the Wave 2. I noticed a difference with my Wave 2 (version 0.84) . When he shows the effects, the RM and chorus are on simultaneous. That creates a phase effect. Mine doesn’t do that. It’s either RM or chorus. The manual doesn’t state anything about it.
I hope it will be in version 1.0.

I noticed yesterday that my Wave 2 does not have the Phas graphic on the chassis even though it does have the Phaser effect as of 1.0. Even on the website there are different graphics on the Information and Specifications pages, one image with the graphic and one without. LOL! Mine was an early board so I'm guessing they weren't sure if the Phaser effect was even going to be included. No real matter or anything... I just find it interesting. Although I'm sure there are others, it makes it a little more unique to me as well.

Besides the missing phaser on the panel print:
the Panic button is moved to the octave button
the utility button had been renamed to pattern.

In addition:
- What used to be the Panic -button has now become Rate (vibrato function)
- The < page > -buttons have been renamed to < Category / Page >

It's still a nice unit, discard these imperfections.

Got my Nord Wave 2 with OS 0.84 and the old panel print today. Version 1.0 has a new panel print. I'm now considering whether to return the synth and order a new one because of its already outdated look.
My question is now: Can this cause problems in case of resale?
