more importantly, as someone who was invited by Nord to share in the beta test process, why do you think it's cool to conduct this little software release on your own instead of allowing Nord to finish their polishing job? that's just wrong...and is surely likely to make it that much harder for Nord to ever be so freely willing to issue invites to individuals to be beta testers

this was not yours to give and is seriously major disrespect. betas are shared in confidence and you have violated that confidence in a big way

you've been a member of this group for 6-1/2 years and during that time you have contributed a grand total of NOTHING to this forum, and now you use this occasion to make your first post? your sense of entitlement with someone else's intellectual property is appalling.

and THAT's what is meant by BUN FYAH WEH FYAH FI BUN

I can appreciate that some folks here are happy to have that link, but...this can only have the effect of making Nord clam up even tighter. In other words, your actions here have made life worse in the future for everyone and anyone who might otherwise have been considered for a beta invitation.

Keeping in mind that I am speaking as a private individual and have not consulted with anyone in Sweden about this -- I'm just guessing how they might feel about it, mainly based on how I would feel about it if I were in their shoes.

Nord would be completely within their rights to ask the moderators of this forum to delete that link from that post. For that matter, the moderators of this forum probably have a duty to do so pursuant to the rules of this forum, just as they do if/when someone posts samples of copyrighted material

If you are a beta tester, you'll have signed a contract with the developer meaning that this is an NDA. you have breached the NDA by public disclosure of the software, etc. as such The developer could take legal action. If you are not a Beta Tester as part of Nord's team, how the heck did you acquire this?

I do believe that Nord as a company and developer should open doorways for it's customers to work with Nord on developing and supporting the software, rather than Nord itself coming up with everything and no changes. The whole point of the software such as Nord Sound Manager and Nord Sample Editor, these are tools needed to effectively manage and administer to the Nord line of products, therefore, we as customers paying good money for these instruments, etc, should be able to have some form of involvement with Nord on the software side of things. I have over the years tried to become involved with Nord regarding their software from an Accessibility angle, but they ignore any communications, which is a shame. so I have thrown in the towel.

We do need to be careful here, as is rightly said, Nord does not own this forum, but employees do sometimes step in to have a look-see at what's happening.

That’s rather beside the point.

No one should trust an unofficially-sanctioned private Dropbox account. Very irresponsible of everyone involved with sanctioning this as ok, including those who quoted it

Sure, people do this all the time with PC software/games... PC maintenance and repair are commonplace. Bringing your Nord (or your corrupted programs) back from the dead, not so much.

"The debate can end now"...

...perhaps, when Nord deliver 64-bit versions of all their tools. In particular need of not only and update, but a major overhaul, is the Sample Editor, in my opinion.

Wow! I've just read the thread. Honestly, I got the beta version from Nord customer service agent when I asked about the release date of the 64 bit version. He didn't mentioned anything about not sharing the link, so I thought It was a public beta. I've just wanted to help those who needed the update. Sorry if some people got offended. I learned my lesson. Have a great week.

True! Sorry about my part in this. I wasn't really aware when I was also quoting the link.
All the best everyone.

All we now need is a fix version of NSE (Nord Sound Editor) for 64 bit systems, which also addresses the Nord Stage 3 issues we go through.
