I just read another topic about this issue. Seems that in Piano/Organ/Synth mode in DualkB it IS working on panel B, but if dualkb is set to "panel", all sustain is not working form if the sustain from the MAIN KEYBOARD INPUT is triggered. It works with sustain plugged into the actual second keybed.

I've restored access to the bug sheet; for some reason unknown to me, it had been made private today and access was not allowed to anyone (apart from me).
I had not changed the sharing settings, so it must either be a google glitch or it was possible for anonymous editors to make the document private...
If anyone knows what happened, I'd be happy to know (a PM is just fine), just so that it doesn't happen again.
In any case, I've tried to ensure that no-one can hide the sheet again
Also, I've now frozen the headers. It used to be that anyone could edit those too, but only after accepting a warning that you were changing something that shouldn't be changed. It nevertheless happened numerous times that the header was deleted, so I've now disabled edits on the headers... If you need to edit the header, just let me know, thanks.

As previously "warned", I've now created a copy of the old bug sheet (see the tabs at the bottom) and made it editable only after a warning (and changed the colours, so it's apparent it's not meant to be edited).
I've the edited the post-2.x sheet, and deleted all the bugs that were marked as fixed as well as the ones I either know are fixed or those that were not reproducible and haven't been updated/re-reported recently.
This now leaves only a few possibly open bugs in 2.x, which I will go through to check and mark/move/delete accordingly. Some bugs are possibly by design, and I will mark them as such and move them to the request sheet when appropriate.
Anyone else with info on the remaining bugs are more than welcome to edit as well. And if I accidentally deleted something that is still an issue, please copy the line back from the old bug tracker sheet.

I’ve played maybe two hundred shows with my Electro 2, and it’s fourteen years old, and I’ve never once had to clean the key contacts...!
Having had my NS3 compact from day one, i had to open it up and re-lubricate all squeaky Sharps, so the high chance of bad quality of shitty Fatar parts might be a case.
Mine has the same problem.. white keys are very silent but black ones are very squeaky and really unpleasant to play at low volumes (as i play most of the time) could you please give me a hint on
how to open and lubricate it and what kind of lubricant did you use?? is it easy to open? thanks in advance..

There have been some threads mentioning this, including
general-nord-forum-f29/hp-key-bed-t10058.html and
nord-stage-forum-f3/stage-2ex-repair-cl ... e%20grease and
nord-electro-forum-f9/3hp-keybed-noise- ... 10058.html mentioning the former. There is also
post16191.html?hilit=silicone%20grease#p16191 with some disassembly details, and I think Pablo also recently posted some info on where to lubricate; you could try to do a continued search (like I did for you).

Can anyone tell me why Nord will only let you split the keyboard at certain points rather than anywhere you would like. I use a Motif ES8 now in split mode and can make the split point anywhere. I always split when playing left hand bass at C3. My piano starts on the C# immediately above. On the Stage 3 when I split at C3, the piano starts on the C, which limits me using the octave below on some songs. I really like the Stage 3 but the split situation is a problem since I play 99% of the time in split mode as a duo with a drummer.
Is there a way to get around this problem?
Thanks,
Durwood Martin

Hi,
Not sure why this is in the issues thread, maybe make a new topic?
The way Nord circumvents this is by using crossfades; the hard splits become less hard
Not
exactly what you'd want but might help you enough.

I think this setup has been part of the Nord philosophy for a long time, and as it's not really a bug with the NS3, it's better to take this discussion to a separate thread (or read through some of the previous ones on the same topic).
As far as I can tell, Nord tries to limit the amount of options in favour of simplifying the boards, and make it easier to focus on playing. In addition, avoiding the cost of placing LEDs at all keys, fewer split-points allows for the current setup.
Yes, sometimes it's nice to be able to set more exact split points, especially if you come from other boards. For me, it also took some time to get used to, but as @RichardG says, the crossfades actually helps a lot on this, and after a couple of initial weeks in Nord land, I've never actually been in a situation where I felt I lacked an option to be more granular. I tend to use the same programs in several songs (and also often sub for a bass player with my left hand), and as these are in many different keys, there is no point in trying to match the split point to a specific key; I now just use a short cross-fade and voice my LH patterns and RH accordingly, and it has now become 2nd nature to me.
I understand why you -- coming from an ES8 -- would have liked to have more granularity in defining split points, but hopefully you'll get used to the NS3 setup. Hope this helps to "explain" what none of us really can explain, since we were not part of the design

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum!!
Purchased STAGE 3. A problem is in editing a new sound ..... often it doesn't save. I am forced to switch off and on again starting again.
