No revolution in the architecture:
.ns4b - NS4 Backup
.ns4p - NS4 Program
.ns4pbundle - NS4 Program Bundle
.ns4s - NS4 Song
.ns4sbundle - NS4 Song Bundle
.ns4y - NS4 Synth
.ns4ybundle - NS4 Synth Bundle

Exactly, at least not the very basic architecture. It does not tell anything about which kind of synth will be included, how many sound engines, effects sections etc though ...

That's interesting! I am wondering if smuggling that in is part of a subtle marketing strategy or whether the leak is unintentional by Clavia... I'm tempted to think it's unintentional, but it's also difficult to think that they didn't imagine that someone would, even by chance, dig into Win registry and find out...

I think they probably did not expect someone diving into the Windows registry and discovering the NS4 registry keys by chance, the probability is really low I believe given the huge size of teh registry.
It would just be interesting to know when these have been added, must be caused by the installation of either one of the latest versions of Nord Sound Manager or Nord Sample Editor. The most recent update of one of Nord's software tools is from January 27, 2021 for Sample Editor 4 as far as I can see, which could indicate that a NS4 is on the roadmap at Clavia since around 2 years at least

Actually it was Jan 27th 2022, so less than a year. Most recent version of the NSM on the other hand is almost exactly one year old.

Oh yes, misread it - my bad ....so NS4 must besafe on the roadmap at least since January 2022, if the most recent version of either NSM or NSE have added the NS4 keys to the registry ....

Well at least we know it will happen someday... and apparently no 3EX on the pipeline. So the NS4 could be the very next Nord to come out.

We'll see. The job advertisement for a new programmer still exists on the Nord website.

the reason I was checking the registry is because I had connectd both my Nord Stage 3 to my computer and they both appear in the Windows device manager with the same name/description so it is a bit difficult to differentiate between the two devices. I therefore was searching for "Nord Stage" in the registry to see I could make a change to the descriptions in some keys to make them unique in the system .... which did not work by the way

.... but that's why I came across the Nord Stage 4 keys in the registry
Very useful info thanks
That means that what the technician from r&d department of clavia going to be truth what he said
We are not very far from the 6 months he said.. february and march are just 2-3 months away

I would hope to see the new product modeled after the NW2:
4 Slots (like the NW2, A1)
Each slot can be either Piano, Organ, Synth/Sample
Each slot with its own effects, arp, etc.
I can dream, can't I?
