I have seen varying posts on the sample size question - and a lot of them seek reasons for why we shouldn't want or need the larger ones.

But of course if memory wasn't an issue, we'd load the largest ones for every sample and not even think about it.

Basically you can use small sizes for the toy pianos like the Saloon and Honky-Tonk, since a) no-one listens to those with any seriousness and b) you probably almost never play them.....and you'll want to use XL for anything you use a lot.

I'm trying to use this sample over others...my feeling and taste: With chorus and phaser, this sample sounds magnificent (especially with the medium timbre and removing a bit of bass). If I don't use the effects with the same EQ, it doesn't sound very good! I currently use them with medium timbre and hi plus 4 med 1.5 plus 3 bass - 5 on the Ns 4 88 if you don't have effects how do you equalize it?

Good question! I'm always trying to figure out the best equalizer setting for the Stockholm sample. I actually like the sample. The problem is that it can sound very sharp, nasal, and a bit thin if you emphasize the upper mids and highs too much. But if you don't do that, it doesn't cut through well, especially in the upper keyboard range.
I see it as rather independent of the effects. Most of the time, I only use a little tremolo or phaser. With phaser, you have to add a little midrange, otherwise it sounds too thin, in my opinion.

But i just found a new favorite setting, namely the „Variation“ of the Fender Twin Ampsim in the Nord Stage 4. I think it somehow fits the Stockholm sample. If you don't have a Stage 4 and don't have the variation on the Fender Twin yet, you can recreate it by lowering the mids around 750 Hz a little and raising the bass and highs a little. Raise the highs quite a bit, around 10, bass around 5.
I also like to mix in some mechanical noises ("Rhodes mechanical"), a user sample I found in the Nord Face group, with the Stockholm sample. It is and remains an eternal search...

Do you mean Holger Marjamaa? But that's not the Stockholm sample, it's definitely Nefertiti.

Ops!… I thought it wasn't the Nefertiti....are you sure? I'll listen to it more carefully....to me it seemed like the new EP...but I repeat, I'll listen to it better.

Yes, I'm absolutely sure. I know the sound of both very well, I would say. They only sound similar if you don't listen closely. The Nefertiti sounds much rounder, richer, and darker than the Stockholm. It also fades faster, especially in the upper range.
