I wished my early Nords Stage 3 Compact could have had the music stand that was supported in the later models. But if they hadn't added that support, it wouldn't have made anything better for me, it just would have made things worse for the purchasers of later models. Nobody benefits from that.
As a purchaser, if this bothers you, the solution is just not to buy anything unless you need it. If you needed the NS4 when you bought it, and it did what you needed, then it served you well, and any future enhancements which do become available to your model (of which there have been numerous!) are a bonus.
