Really nice work here Florence! I'm upgrading from an Electro 6 to a Stage 3 and was looking for a way to export my programs or at least do it manually. Having your program handling both devices would be nice, now I diverted to making pictures of the setup of each program, exports of the samples and some audio recordings of each program. Far from ideal, still have to fill in lots of gaps while recreating them.
So for a future person like me, having the possibility to read NE6 programs or even better, convert them to a (closely) matched version of an NS3 would be very interesting.

@shubertflora, I don't know if you're the same person as the one requesting the E6 decyphering in the comment of MyKeysToMusic Viewer tutorial on YT ?
Seems there is an interest for at least Electro 6 (and also 5) program structure to be displayed for recreation on Stage series.
You must understand that since we don't have any help from Nord support, this is a byte-by-byte comparison and is very tedious + time-consuming.

But if it's worth the work AND there are Ne6/5 users supportive in generating the files, this could be considered.

I'll launch the A1 file structure decyphering now and will keep you all posted.

Let's see first how it works for the A1 implementation... Adding additional boards would be something easy if I had the board myself. Most of the structure is commun and a lot of what I learned for the NS2/NS3 could be reused for the A1 or Electro. But working with a remote board owner is really painful because for each detail I need to ask a program file, wait the answer, try a solution, retry another solution if requires.... it requires really a lot, a lot, a lot of time, and a lot is lost during these emails exchanges...

At the end if Nord is reading this: Please add program viewer capability in the Nord Sound Manager, enable the feature even if a board is not connected (allows Stage user to read Electro file, or inverse)... and then everybody will be happy :)

I vote in favor of Nord giving florence the additional boards!

Hi, is it possible to add the Electro 6 Patchformat ? I'm a user of both, the NS3 and the NE6, so i would be able to transfer Patches between these two Keyboards!

@cookie: It´s me, who wrote the comment on my Keys to Music ;)

Hi docnormal,

it's not that easy ... Nord does not disclose the details of their file formats, it's therefore necessary to do a byte-by-byte (or maybe even worse: bit-by-bit) comparison of program files for each option to find out how the format works. This is very time consuming as mentioned by the developer Christian (username florence): nord-stage-forum-f3/ns3-program-viewer- ... ml#p146169

One way to speed it up would be to lend an Electro 6 (your Electro 6?) to Christian (florence) for the time needed to de-code the Electro 6 file format ;)

well explained... and I confirm it's not byte-by-byte analysis, but bit-by-bit unfortunately...
