For some time now. Either unemployment in Sweden is as low as it is here in the USA, and thus programmers are hard to find...or Clavia is just not the humdinger place to work it may once have been.

Well, I guess it's the second option...
I am sure that you must have a lot of insights and the details which show that a significant portion of the unemployed people in Sweden are embedded SW programmers, since otherwise I con't get your connection of unemployment rate in Sweden and Clavia not being the humdinger place to work anymore - can you please share these details which support your comment?

Cool! I think an update for the Stage 3 (and possibly other boards) is coming too. I don't remember the details, but I remember having noticed that the P55 location does have some quirkness on the Stage 3 too.

I just hope they'll add some other bug fixes along with this minor one.

My inside info is that they know almost everybug we have already writen here in the forum..

They are just slow extremely slow on fixxing all these with updates..

And i think they have their internal management problems for example

Boss : what problems we have??

Programmer manager: we need to make these updates i need this amount of money for test bla bla bla and this amount of money for these people to work on samples updates etc etc bug fixxes..

Marketing manager: no boss i am the first who must get this amount of money for these parts chips screens keybeds etc etc to release new instrument because our sales will go slow if we dont

And something like that is my personal thinking about why they are extremely slow..

>In this moment of crisis<

i'm sorry, but I have to push back on this - the world is not going through an economic "crisis" right now. Anyone who says so hasn't lived for very long, or at least isn't very aware of historical economic cycles.

Our current hike in interest rates, or inflation, or whatever seems dramatic is very much in line with the standard ups and downs of any healthy economy. You want high interest rates? Try the late 1970s, where they were hitting 13% (at least in the USA). Inflation troubling you? Again, it was almost 14% in 1980. And back then unemployment was double-digits in many countries. Last I looked, unemployment is sitting under 3% in Germany, under 4% in the UK, and under 3.5% in the USA. Those are not the numbers that make up a recession. Other European countries are higher but most of them are sitting between 5-7%. This is just a few clicks over what most economists consider a "healthy" rate of 5%.

As for shortages - sure, some things are still oddly out of synch and grocery prices especially are higher than usual. But retail gasoline is as cheap as ever, and while many people may not be buying high ticket items right now, there is no sign that consumer spending on recreation, airline travel, hotel bookings, rock concerts, clothing, entertainment, or any other fripperies like digital keyboards is slowing down. A crisis is like the global meltdown of 2008-2009. It's not this post-Covid fits and starts.

Sorry, Clavia can't blame a world economy in crisis for whatever is ailing them in Stockholm.

If you mean my comment that they can't seem to fill the post that has been on their website for months - well, they can't seem to fill the post that has been on their website for months. Meaning:

a) There is a huge shortage of programmers in the greater Stockholm area. Given the relatively high (7.6%) unemployment rate, this seems unlikely, especially in the largest city in Sweden, and its capital.

OR

b) There are programmers in Stockholm flipping through the want-ads, but none of them are applying to work for Clavia. This seems more probable, given how long the ad has been running.

SO - if B is true, why so? Clavia is either not competitive in salary/benefits or they are not seen as an advantageous place for a progammer to park their talents. Or both. In short - no longer a humdinger.

I guess cool. The Electro update was an extremely minor bug fix. Anyone even notice that Program Bank Z had a storage issue?

v2.64 (2023-02-07)
Fixed bug which could cause issues with storing programs to the last program bank.

What the update wasn't was a return of the 9th drawbar/percussion feature. I think that egregious omission in the E6 was the first hint that all was not well in Product Planning. At least that's when serious complaints began here, and this is Nord Church.

Pablo Mastodon, where are you when we need you?
