Mr. G, I was referring to nsmp samples that shipped with my 5D, not the pianos. All are version 1.5. Curious if they are the same as version 2.0 when it comes to memory/size allocation? Not a big deal either way, just curious.

When I was swapping 1.0 nsmp files for 2.0 files, I compared them with headphones on, to make sure I was replacing it with a sample of the same quality. They were all comparable....The only exception was the mono '3 violins mellotron''. It was much noisier, hissier than the original one I had. I could have freed up 2 mb or so if that had worked... anyway, the mellotron flute sounded good though, even though much smaller in size.

You said v5 before in your post and npno version is currently 5.3. The post was confusing and I thought that you were looking at the piano samples.

I apologize - wasn't trying to confuse. Here is a screenshot of what I see in Sound Manager. According to Pablo's post, I was expecting to see the samples to show Version 2.0 (as available in the new library), so now wondering if the NSMP samples have been updated more recently than what is shipping with the E5s.

I see, well that is confusing indeed!

confusing to me, too. My NE5 with factory load has only v2.0 samples. I checked.

My advice would be to download and install factory backup file from Nord website. Perhaps you got one of the first ones off the line and the v2.0 samples weren't ready yet.
