I loved the Led Zep and Hotel California mp3's.
When I tried to re-create them using the samples, both programmes ending up sounding more like harpsichord ! I made sure I cleared down and initialised before I started making them. Any idea where I might be going wrong?
Many thanks

When you loaded the samples into your Nord Stage 2, in which OSC Synth sample memory location did each one go? It's possible that you just need to reassign the Slot A and Slot B Synth OSC sample memory locations to your settings. I've attached the programs mentioned again in case you want to try loading them. Good luck.

Many thanks for responding.
This is how I set it up. Firstly, my Stage 2 is using OS v1.72
Led Zep Prog:
Downloaded 12 string sample, sits in my location 24
Downloaded SteelGit_DVv4, sits in my location 129
Slot A - OSc selector to 24
Slot B - Osc selector to 129 - this setting shows Control Ped Morph lit up. I don't have my control pedal assigned to morph - would this make and difference ?
Hotel Calif2
Slot A - Osc selector to 24. This programme shows Organ section B3, Piano section Harpsi 1, Synth section OSc24. Keyboard 3 way split. Control pedal on Morph ( I don't have assigned)

I have OS v1.72 loaded as well. I tried all types of Synth settings for SteelGit_DVv4 this morning and fairly confident that the sample is not the problem, more likely it's the 12String and the Harpsichord used. The control pedal morph affects the 12-string volume in "LedZep AcGuitarW". Without a control pedal, the Slot A Synth LEVEL with 12String should be all the way down with only the 6-string in Slot B sounding in the upper split; if that's not the case with the way your control pedal is assigned, I'd suggest resaving the program to open only using the Slot B SteelGit.
In both Hotel Calif programs, I use "Ital Harpsich 1A Short Str 5.0.npno" in the Piano section as Harpsi 1 - that would be the first thing to check. On the mp3, my right hand is playing notes in the middle split and a few reaching into the first octave of the upper split. The top 2 1/2 octaves on the keyboard aren't used but do sound like a Harpsichord if played. You can also adjust the Piano section LEVEL to taper off the Harpsichord volume to your taste. The B3 heard in the mp3 is likely not sounding based upon the control pedal setting.
Hope this helps.

I'm getting there !!
LedZep sound.
Assigned the control pedal to morph the volumes on both slots A & B. I think I may just need to tweak the balance of volumes to get the final sound as your mp3.
I have attached mp3 of what mine sounds like, apologies for playing skills. First section is Slot A, second is Slot B, third is Slot A+B.
THe programme does not show any splits though.

Definitely getting there. I would suggest setting the Slot B Synth with the 6-Sting an octave higher to match up with the 12-string in Slot A. In the "LedZep AcGuitarW" program I used the EQ to take a little brightness off the 6-string as well. For setting up the split, I would suggest setting it so that the low "E" on the acoustic guitar is close to the bottom of the range so that you can't play notes too much lower than the natural tuning of the guitar. Glad it's working for you - take care.

Hi,
At WannitBBBad
I used in the past your program to play Abacab but noticed something strange. The sound of the synth on the right hand is labeled 5th wheel on MW. When I put it in the up position, I have the two oscillator sync and when I put the MW in the lowest position, I think I hear a 5th....But on the original, was it some 4th? I looked at a video and I think he plays 4th. So, is the solution is to put the MW in the 3/4 travel for position, not to low, thus we have a 4th? Or make the two Osc sound the same and playing the same pitch but I play the 4th like on the record and not playing only one note?
Just let me know
Sincerely
