I see the Nord Pedal Keys (41.5") is wider than the C2D (38") which would be a problem because the legs visually descend from the C2D's side panels. I will also bring this up with Byron, altho I use the Hammond XPK-200L pedals which are narrower. I'd like to be able to position my pedals correctly (i.e. further to the left) so maybe there's some sort of design solution to this. Perhaps the stand could be extendable on the left side in order to accommodate pedal players. Or the whole stand could be B3 width and still be lightweight and good-looking.

Does anyone know if the side panels for the C2D would be compatible with the C2?

I don't understand why you wouldn't start a new thread with this new question completely unrelated to this thread...but...

...no, they are different.

Sorry for the confusion Pablo. I included the question here because I assumed the above referenced stand would come with replacement side panels. So understanding whether the stand would be compatible with the C2 and C2D would be related to this thread.

Valhalla Woodworking might choose to make their design "ambidextrous" so as to reach a larger demographic -- I don't believe that the two designs are mutually exclusive in that regard, but thanks for explaining.

Hi everyone, spoke to Byron at Valhalla yesterday. He's currently still at the auto-CAD stage but his design sounds amazing and portable. Forget the replacement side panels - we're basically going for a universal design now that will work with any clonewheel organ. It's going to very much resemble a B3 from the audience perspective but be light and portable and allow enough room for all sorts of footpedals from the Nord PedalKeys 27 to midi-fied original B3 pedals or for just placing your smaller pedals to the left so they're in the correct relative position viz a vis your hands. Will keep you guys posted. This product will be a few weeks away, but not months!

Also, Byron has a very clever height adjustment idea that's all inside the 'case' rather than being a leg height adjustment.

Any mention of a matching bench?

I have brought up the idea of a lightweight B3-style bench but with folding legs and will mention it to Byron again. I think that might have to wait until after the design and production of the stand, though.

Yes, Byron confirmed that a B3-style portable bench, prob with folding legs will be his next project AFTER the stand is produced. Btw, his design looks amazing. Production is beginning.
