So after a week and a half of playing with the zlx12P's in a few different settings, i have to say, they are absolutely incredible... really rich stereo image, able to handle a good soundstage with a band mix coming into them and enough headroom to blow your ears if you are not careful. They havent been pushed over half volume in the loudest gig yet. They are fairly light... fairly. Lugging two around is a chore but is definitely worth it for the sound. they are so inspiring to play with. Put them on monitor setting. turn the bass down -1or -2 db and turn to "music" setting. thats my choice so far... thanks for the help guys!

Thought I would revive this thread as I recently went through another gear change for summer 14 gigs

I am playing a lot of shorter sets this summer and quick/easy is going to be key for gigs. I decided that I wanted to get a kp500sn with some tax refund money and test it out for myself. I got tired of being hassled before the show setting up the 2 EV zlx12p's, my keys, di/mixer, and vocal mic.

The kp will allow me to run both of my keys in stereo and my vocal mic into one amp and deliver everything in stereo to the front of house. no di's no mixers, single box @ 48lbs and casters with nice carry handles and hopefully some serious power. I'm only skeptical of the acoustic piano sounds. I have heard that the leslie effect and autopanning rhodes etc sound incredible but I have heard some dissenting opinions on the horn quality for acoustic piano samples. I'll report back with my $.02 in a week or two here after a few gigs.

The K10 has a low Schlep factor. Plus a lot of inputs & outputs.
This makes them a most worthy speaker & they do have surprising output & Bass.
I will admit I like them.
