Re: Audio interface preference
I know that device, but don't have one. I'm assuming you mean the iConnectMidi2+.
One thing to note: the Audio pass-through will not work with your Nord. What the unit does is that it will act as a soundcard on the USB interfaces, in addition to action as a MIDI interface. You can connect an iPad to the first USB port and your computer to the second one and then send MIDI and audio between your computer and the iPad, as well as MIDI to/from the MIDI ports.

I think it is a pretty interesting box, but I don't see how this will completely solve your issues; specifically, I don't see how the Audio pass-through feature helps you with your Nord, because you will still need to connect the outputs of the Nord to an audio interface, since you cannot send audio over MIDI. You can of course send both audio and MIDI over USB, which is why you can send audio between the two USB ports.
Sonic State has a review of sorts of the iConnect unit, but they're mostly looking at it in combination with an iPad.
Edit: for some reason the video starts at 17 minute something, not the start?! The interesting stuff starts at 4:58.

Re: Audio interface preference
Thanks mjbrands, I have sent my Sweetwater salesman an e-mail with a few questions last night because everything I saw through videos like the one Gustavo sent only really referred to the iPad function and I did not get the feeling that it would solve my issue either. But I nor did he know that the audio pass-through would not work with the Nord. That is information that seals the deal. Thanks a great deal for your input, the good news is the unit was not in stock to ship so I can figure out an interface that will work with Mavericks.mjbrands wrote:I know that device, but don't have one.
