I sent an email to Clavia a while back asking wether the Piano Unison would ever be available. This was their reply.
Hi

We have reached the limits of what the hardware in the 128 MB Stage can
do, so I am afraid those features will be EX only.

Best Regards

I don't know if it's the point where the Classic and the EX will part ways in terms of continued improvement, but "we have reached the limits of what the hardware can do" does not sound encouraging.

Regards,

Gerben

I be darned, I can bet that many of the NS Classic will be rather unpleased. I just hope that they have not dropped any kind of support for the NS Classic.

I would echo requests for adjustable pich bend range as a feature upgrade. I just purchased the Nord Stage EX Compact. I am disappointed in the fixed pitch bend range of "2" semitones". I am one of those who would like at least 3 semitones (Minor third). It seems unfortunate on a $3000 + keyboard this isn't adjustable as it is on my Korg Triton, Yamaha Motif etc. That being said the keyboard sounds good and will sound better as I learn to program it and use the controls.

I would like Clavia to make the adjustment of B3 'drawbars' easier to move by just one single position.
So often when I want to set the drawbars according to known settings, I find that I need to have several attempts at getting the settings right!

Indeed OS updates for the whole Stage Series hopefully will continue NOT only for the new NS2.
  • The pitch bend range is one top priority, hopefully it is OS-feasible!
  • Also, I would really like to see the SHIFT+Knob feature to see the value of a certain parameter used in a patch. As it made it way into the new NS2, maybe there is a way for the EX and Classic also?
