I received a reply from Nord support, which states that it doesn't transmit midi transpose at all. I spoke to Rob in UK support and he was surprised to learn that according to the manual it does.

Is this function working for anyone?

Sorry, I was looking at the NS2. A bit odd that it does not transpose...

My Piano 2 does not transpose the outgoing midi when the transpose button is on, just the sound (from keyboard or incoming midi). Though different than what the manual says, this seems sensible to me for the most part.

Assuming you're recording to a DAW, any reason not to just do the transpose there?

Thanks for confirming this. There seems to have been much confusion about this.
