Ok cool thank you so much for your time. so this is where i am at. i set it up and i get a signal and it records notes as midi...but there is no sound. In fact whatever channel i set my software instrument to, it always records midi notes. It works perfectly playing the sounds from the software instruments in logics library. But How do i set it up to play the actual sounds/settings from the nord?-should it be playing it automatically before i select a logic instrument? shouldn't it be playing whats selected on my keyboards menu? Any insight on this stump in the road?

Are you sending the recorded MIDI notes back to the Stage? You won't hear any sound from the Stage unless you play your recorded MIDI notes back into it.
