I confirm, I use my Nord C2D on two Yamaha speakers stagepas 600i, and the sound is perfect. Emulation leslie 145 stereo is a marvel. regards.

So the gigs got delayed, but the first one is coming up this friday. The event is a small festival and the arrangers will supply PA and amps. My band mates want me to play through a fender bassman amp for a gritty tube-amp sound (we play some kind of 70s psychedelic/progressive rock) but I think it'll sound better through the PA. I mean, with the leslie engaged there is already an amp simulation, and I think the built-in overdrive in c2d sounds nice. What do you think?

I use both if and when I can.
When I can't run a 147,I use a Ventilator.
I don't hear as dramatic an improvement on the C2D sim
as the Ventilator, and I'm not a 'used to play' a Hammond guy.
I still play the real deal if and whenever possible.Daily.Just sayin'.
My Stage Ex is primarily there on top of the A100 for synth bass/lead/electric pianos/clav
My stage grands are software or Motif.

Just use the onboard simulator, and if you are any kind of player....
you'll be just fine.

The P.A. will sound better. Maybe you could use that Fender Bassman for a monitor if need be. Are you planning on using some sort of monitor?

I'm renting one to try out on a gig.Willing to give the on board Leslie sim a try.Have been using a Ventilator 'FOH' and a 147 Leslie to 'monitor'.......
will also try the C2D with the Leslie, and through the A100 Hammond 'doghouse' to the Leslie. Will report my findings A/B the C2D and the A100.
I've read a lot of 'former Hammond user' posts on here.My best Leslie sim is a Ventilator, and my best Hammond sim is a Nord Stage EX88.The real
Yamaha C7 I play regularly has no sample I've heard even come close. Still prefer the real deal or Motif for grands and uprights.Still prefer a B3/C3/A100 organ.

Weight, convenience, and sound are what I bought a Nord for.I don't expect it to replace the 'real deal' anytime soon. They make a decent clone,FWIW I also auditioned
the Korg,Hammond,Roland organs.
In the store when I played a few subdued things on the C2D I didn't lay into it like my A100,and fear I'll break the C2D. :D How many smears I've handed the A100 over
the last two decades shows how well built the real deal is......

Thank you for all suggestions. I ended up playing through the PA and there were also monitor speakers so the sound was great for both me and the audience!
