My mistake ! it is a ROLAND PK-7A, NOT a Roland pk-9a.

The halfmoon switch would cost about USD 200 here in Singapore (maybe a bit more). The distributor here has a local monopoly, plus I suppose when it is shipped from the States you have to take the transport costs into account.

By the way- could I get some advice on how to build a music rack? I'm not too sure where I can get the various bits and parts to put everything together. Great if there were some specifications to follow!

For the cost of building one yourself, you might be best doing a search on ebay for "studio rack". I picked up an MDF angled one over here for about £60 delivered - I couldn't make it for much less than that and it would take me a weekend of my life to build and finish it to a good standard. Perhaps you can find something second hand for around the same price in Singapore?

Actually I was referring to the music stand - the one to hold your score sheets. Someone earlier in the thread referred to it as a 'music rack' and I went along with the terminology.

New pedal;-sets, in every size, are expensive! Look for a used set. I do believe any MIDI pedal-set, of any size, will connect seamlessly with a Nord. I even got a set of Hammond (XKP-200) pedals to work. I told them were attached to an SK2, and they never checked. They both look pretty much the same from the bottom, and that's all the pedals ever see.

One option for a music stand is : if you use either of the ONSTAGE stands: Platform or Z-shaped, you can get the 2nd tier ( make sure you get the right 2nd tier for the right stand). I did that, plus i purchased online a 1/4" sheet of plexi-glass, ( actually 2, one 20" wide & one 36" wide) to cross the open gap of the 2nd tier. That works great : if anything too great. I wound up adding a KORG MICROSTATION & A BOSS 660 DRUM MACHINE. THE 36" wide plexiglass easily holds both units. NOw, when i gig solo, my setup, plus the bass pedals sounds like a whole band ( NOT the 'one-man-band' syndrome !) If you practise a lot with punching the crash cymbal & the bass-drum in time with your right hand & foot on the bass pedal : WHOO ! You REALLY sound like BAND . I've made 5 CD's with that set up , on a $700 ROLAND CD-2E RECORDER & A MACKIE 802-VLZ . Everybody tells me that it sounds ultra-professional & Studio Quality ( at least the AUDIO SOUND !)
