Don't know why, but I'm not seeing either 'Thanks' button or 'Quotes'.
I probably activate something, but what?
Cheers.

Re: Samples and Synths
Thanks for all your advice. If I’ve understood correctly:
I can dial up a sample by pressing Load Sound (no SHIFT) a number of times until SAMP is highlighted under OSC, and then turn the knob to call up whatever number sample I require.
I can then save into a program bank in the normal way.
If I wish, I can first tweak the sample using the various knobs and dials in the Synth section and then save into a program bank.
If I think I might want to use it in future, I can also save it as a Synth Sound (SHIFT + STORE SYNTH).
To use Synth Sounds (including the one I might just have created above), I need to use SHIFT + Load Sound. This gives me access to all my available synth sounds which I can dial up in the usual way, store to a program bank etc.
Hope I’ve got this right, finally! Seems obvious now.
I also notice that sometimes, after dialling up a particular sample (this might also apply to synth sounds, I’m not sure), if I change to a different sound by dialling up a different sample number, the parameters (effects etc) from the previous sound stay ‘active’. I overcome this by pressing SHIFT + Sound Init.
Is there another little quirk here that I’m not understanding?
With regard to my Quote and Thanks buttons, they strangely appeared after I refreshed this page, but even that isn't bringing them up now. Strange.
Kind regards.

Re: Samples and Synths
on this topic...I find that when I call up a synth patch and store it to a slot, then call up another synth patch and store to the OTHER slot, the overall program will "stay" on the last synth patch, no matter which slot I select (so when I alternate back and forth between slots, I only "keep" the newest synth patch recalled. AM I doing something wrong or is there some limitation in the way synth patches work with programs/slots (for instance I notice I cannot SHIFT/TURN knob to "see" what synth patch is loaded to that slot without actually changing the synth patch)....thank you
