How about this?

At least the red cover fits nicely with our Nords...
Anyway this is a new product and there's no pricing or release date yet.

I'm using a Yamaha MSR 100 for monitoring. Power is ok for small venues and stages plus it's super compact! It has two line-ins and an XLR/microphone channel, so that should exactly fit your needs.
The sound is so-so... you have to play a little with the EQ to get better results -- I get along with it. I haven't tried the bigger one (MSR 400) yet, that should give you enough power for a bigger stage.

But portability and price is just great (just below 300EUR/450USD!).

Hello Skip,

I've got a pair of Samson Resolv 50a with the matching Sub88.
They're 5" with an 8" sub.

When used as near field monitors, they're marginal at best for reproducing the diverse frequency range of piano.
I still use them as an alternate mix reference,
but have replaced them with a pair of M-Audio BX-8a
They're 8" with no sub:

The M-Audio sounds much better, but still not ideal.

Cheers, H

I made an interesting amp discovery a couple of years ago. I was using a Mackie SRM-450 for playback. I also play guitar and use the POD pro modeler. I was dissatisfied with the tone of the guitar through the Mackie and decided what I needed was a simple power amp for guitar. I came across the Tech 21 Power Engine 60. It is designed for use with amp modelers and the guitar tone was great. I have always been under the impression that you had to use PA/Studio monitor type equipment for keys, but for fun I connected the Korg TR-76 I was using into it. I was blown away at how good it sounded! 1 12" speaker open-back cabinet, 60Watts, I couldn't believe it. I have been using it as my main playback since. It is less than $350 new and you can chain them together or run a pair in stereo. Now, I play in a classic rock band, so this might not fit an audiophile's definition of playback, but it works great for me in the rock band context:

Hey Hanon, I've seen a recent deal on the M-Audio CX series which are supposed to be a really killer best-bang-for-the-buck monitor, maybe upgrade to get that extra "ahh."

Hello ybakos,
Welcome to the forum!

Did phil at guitar center put you up to this?
'cause I told him that no matter how many sweet deals that he dangled out there,
I wasn't coming back there until he got me the NS2 that he promised.

@phil
If you want to make your monthly sales quota, keep some Nord products in stock.
