Thank you all. I'll see how the prices, but probably will go on Fc-7!

Yay! I'm late to the party, but I have FC-7s that I've had since 1988 that work fantastic still. I went through two EV-5s in about 4 years with my old electro, they just don't last as well.
edit: oh also, that knob on the side will screw you up way more than it'll be useful.

My Roland EV-5 just broke after only a few months of light use, I'm thinking about grabbing the Yamaha. Maybe I'll change the bad pot later.

The FC-7 is a better pedal and a better value. I own both.
Oop! I just realized that I chimed on this already! Sorry!

Re: Expression Pedal: Ev-5 or Fc-7?!
My EV-5 still works perfectly after 4 years with rehearsals, home use and a number of gigs. Got it because that was what they had in the local shops. No regrets seeing the weight of FC-7, I like things that are not heavy. You can carry the Electro with pedals and cables on public transport. Agree that it's pricey for what it is.

That's not nearly as brain-fartish as starting an entirely new thread asking a redundant question about expression pedals that this one had already answered quite effectively!Rusty Mike wrote: Oop! I just realized that I chimed on this already! Sorry!

Re: Expression Pedal: Ev-5 or Fc-7?!
The FC7 feels more solid to me, there's more resistance to pedal travel, and since a foot is much less sensitive than a hand, this is a good thing. It's also wider.
