There is, as far as I know, no cure for that.
When V 1.20 was released, Clavia warned loading the sounds into that OS will convert the Patc to V 1.20 and therefor not compatible anymore with earlier versions...

I'm just trying to downgrade to 1.08 from 1.20 via SysEx lib using a midiman midisport 2x2 from a macbook pro. Slowing down the transfer speed still isn't working I can't seem to get the nord to downgrade.

Maybe someone will have a solution for you, but I would also try contacting Clavia via the support form on their website about this.
