Re: Leslie 3300
ben2veld, don't forget that many of the programs use the Leslie Sim. You will have to turn it off, and restore the program without it if you wish to keep the program and use real Leslie.

Re: Leslie 3300
I recently purchased a Hammond B3MkII Portable and a Leslie 3300, and this leslie is no short than amazing. Already replaced the valve into a NOS 12AT7 and it certainly gave me the response I was looking for. Also, I slowed down the horn's rise and fall speeds just a tad, to achieve that 122's "heaviness", and LOVE it!
Actually I got used to listen to it across the room whenever I'm playing, and it sounded really nice, but one time, just out of curiocity, i pointed a single SM57 to its horn, hooked it to my MBox 3 Pro, and put on the headphones.....
oh mannnnnn....this is better than any drug on that planet
I just couldn't believe what I was hearing....

Re: Leslie 3300
Hi guys, brand new to the C2D . I have had a Leslie 3300 for the past 2-3 yrs. It is a heavy speaker. Powerful but it stays home on most gigs as I live in a 2cnd floor apt (flat). I am noticing that the C2D is a little muddy sounding with it. But as I said my Nord pnly came in this past Friday so it might be my fault. Am I correct that in order to turn the amp simulations off, I just keep pressing the amp type switch until none of the leds light up? (Like the earlier post) Or is there some internal switch? I will be using the C2D and a Motion Sound Pro-145 at a gig this weekend and will let you know how that sounds as I haven't tried that yet. The manual didn't say how.

Re: Leslie 3300
Yes turn the amp simulations off. I am also trying different tubes in the preamp. Mike

Re: Leslie 3300
I have a 145 leslie And a motion sound pro3 tm with low pro bottom rotor for my C2d
I have not perceived the sound as muddy.
Which output are you using?
If you are using the line outs be sure to turn of any simulation.
Then you should have plenty of brightness.

Re: Leslie 3300
Just an update on my 3300. I took it out to a gig last Friday night and had a great time. It was just a duo with my guitar player in a small setting, and the results were great. I placed the cab at the back in the center of the stage and used seperate amplification for the other keyboards. Nice full bottom end for LH bass and of course the real Leslie sound! I have been working with other tubes in the pre-amp. First was a 1973 RCA 12AT7 black plates, which I found to be a little too clean. The Tung-Sol 12BX7 I tried seemed a little hot. I re-installed the Sovtek 12AX7 that came with it for the gig but have since put in a 1959 RCA 12AX7 gray plates. This tube seems to be just right. I am waiting for a 1959 Mullard 12AX7gray plates !! Cheers Mike

Re: Leslie 3300
The tube that comes with it is just fine. The different tubes I have tried all work, but have different effects on the tone, gain, and the nature of the distortion. The old tube I have chosen seems to be a little warmer, and takes the shrillness out of the top end of the organ without diminishing the treble. I do not have pedals yet, however LH bass was fine at the volume I was using. The cabinet also has a sub out with level control if needs be. Here is a great review on the 3300 http://www.organissimo.org/3300review_1.htmOctopus wrote:Im thinking about to bye à 3300.
