Still a pity that there is no pitchbend.
I see also they have added an
"External keyboard (Aux KB)" feature similar to NS4's, probably NE7 will accept PitchBend messages for the synth section from it (as it was already the case with NE6).
PS: @moderators, maybe this thread should be moved/merged in the Nord Electro Forum area?

Hope they bring an update to the NS4 with the new organ, rotary and new amps on the fx section (suitcase and brit)

I don't know the Electro series that well. Is this the first model with a modelling synth section?
Interesting that they're not describing it as derivative of the Wave 2, as they do with the NS4.
Could this be indicative of a new fork of the synth codebase and perhaps signal there's a new Lead in the works?
In the meantime ... yay to Electro 7! I know a lot of folks have been waiting for this one.

The most interesting thing is that the HP version has Kawai triple sensor hammer action keybed
I cant understand why they use kawai at their lowest model and not at their flagship stage 4….

Well well well,
It’s exactly the evolution of what I think the Electro line should be. The intention of this product was never supposed to be a “Stage Lite”, but rather its own lineage. Speaking selfishly, it fits my use case perfectly. I do not need all the complexity of the Stage.
Per-section effects, vibrato button and the attributes from the new Organ 3 are great additions to the product. Still a few holes in the specifications however. As far as I can see, there is no description of piano or sample synth memory, so for now I’ll assume that hasn’t changed. This is fine, as I actually play only a few AP/EP samples.
There is no indication Nord carried over the Drawbar 9 cancel function from the Organ 3, but for now I’ll assume so. Either way, each patch supports two organ presets plus the live drawbars, so there is definitely some added flexibility there.
I’m curious about the new Kawai HP action. I’m sure it will play way better than the old TP-100, but I’d be concerned about reliability. We would have to assume Nord has done extensive testing. Perhaps the experiences of the Nord Grand 1/2 owners can attest to the longevity/roadworthiness of their Kawai actions. The specs also do not say if the action supports high-trigger for the organ sounds. Hopefully it’s worth the slight weight gain.
While the synth section is the part I’m least interested in, it certainly adds some nice functionality to expand a bit for performance situations. Again, I’m ok with no pitch/mod controls since that is not the intent of this product. The vibrato button is a nice carry over from the Piano 5/6 line.
Hopefully the manual will be up soon. I’ve already contacted my Sweetwater guy to pre-order. Sweetwater site says July delivery.

I’m curious as to which Kawai action this is based on.

I really wonder what the price tag would be. Here in Norway the Nord Electro 6HP costs 27,300 NOK = 2,700 USD -
Electro 6 HP
I see Sweetwater's price for Electro 7 HP is 3,999$
Electro 7 HP Wow - I would never pay so much for an Electro... I hope the Norwegian price will be around 3000 USD.

General
New Panel design and new large color display
Physical Drawbars on all models
HP 73 - new Kawai Triple Sensor Hammer Action keybed
Please please please still be an OLED screen (now with color)
I can‘t stand these old LCD screens…
If it‘s not an OLED, then color is not an improvement imho…
Apart from that, awesome new upgrades!
This paves the way for a new Stage 5 in 3-4 years!
I‘m sure they will carry over
* big screen(s)
* Nord Organ 3 engine
If they release a Wave 3, might even put in a new synth engine while we’re at it!

What I find really strange is that after all these years, there isn't more memory. 1 gig for pianos, 512 MB for synth samples...

Yes, disappointing — I guess the only reason to keep the memory so limited is to distinguish it from the Nord Stage 4
