There is nothing requiring that limitation. The two interfaces are separate and the limitations of one do not have to be the limitations of the other. It will all depend on how Nord has implemented the drivers for those two interfaces.

That is not the point, since they send exactly the same messages, so the fact that USB sends them faster is irrelevant, when you have a buffer of messages to be sent you need anyway to “wait” for the slowest to finish and think also about real time messages like MIDI Clock
