If someone bought a Nord but expects something which is very different from this concept he/she made the wrong choice
I had different Nord-keys on my desk to programm the requested settings for their users.
There are some similarities - but to me it appeares, that every key is quite different.
And even if you find anything you´re looking for very fast on your new Nord, each key could use its options different.
Just see the categories for samples in the current models, that older models didn´t mention.

The same with the "dynamics" function in the sample editor.
I had a user with an NE5 that enables the dynamics in all it´s samples, what didn´t matter his NE5.
Now with his NS4 (what I refered to him) all samples must be reworked, so the ADSRs are not pre-set
and he can easily set´s his former ADSRs.

Don´t get me wrong - I LIKE this differences. I LIKE to buy a new key, that can also reproduce my beloved sounds.
But I also want to have bought a NEW key and not something like my old-key-"plus".
I see the different functions as an option and something, where I can improve my sound and playing.
If I´m looking for a similar key to my old one, I don´t need to buy a new model - used gear will satisfy...

Or let me say - the differences are a challenge and the route is the goal...

This doesn't address the "editor" part of the question, but the topic's title says "viewer", and search engines tend to lock onto the title, so I'll mention that at least one viewer for Nord Stage 4 Program and Preset files exists now (https://ns4decode.netlify.app/). Caveats:

1. It's only a viewer, not an editor.

2. It must be downloaded/installed/run on a local computer. It doesn't run online (unless somebody else wants to set that up and host it).

3. It doesn't interface directly with the NS4. It only processes program/preset files that have been uploaded from the NS4 to a computer using the Nord Sound Manager.

4. It's not part of the earlier NS2/NS3 viewer and doesn't look/feel the same.

5. It's only for NS4 files. It doesn't know anything about NS2/NS3.

I developed it first for my own use. I shared it with the public as an afterthought, and then another user made some nice improvements, including developing the GUI output mode. (Originally it only wrote CSV files.) We're not affiliated with Nord/Clavia and we're not app developers. We're just random NS4 owners who wanted a viewer, so we figured out how to make one ourselves. viewtopic.php?t=26308

Good that you make this easy summary of your tool.
Personnaly, I'd really like to have this (see your point #3) included in the existing and so friendly Nord File viewer :)

To be able to interface directly with the NS4, we need that NS4 supports system exclusive messages (program dump via midi) but it doesn't appear to be a priority for the forum (see viewtopic.php?p=174212#p174212)

It doesn't matter if it is a priority for the forum or not, when it is not a priority for Clavia/Nord... anyway you can decode the program files without the need for sysex (as they are basically similar to a sysex dump), problem is that Clavia will not disclose their structure so the only way is to reverse engineer them (would be the same with a sysex dump btw, NS2 had it but not documented...).

Please notice that the reverse engineering is already done by ns4decode ( viewtopic.php?p=178068#p178068)

I know very well, even if it is still a WIP (Work In progress), but it was you asking for sysex instead not me, but as you can see it seems they are not really needed at least for that Program Viewer work, in fact, as ns4decode did it without using sysex dumps but .ns4p files.

If you instead mean using sysex dumps with a generic librarian to upload/download programs instead of using NSM then OK; but as said Nord stopped providing that possibility many years/models ago so to me it is very unlikely they will go back (regardless forum discussion or petitions)
