It supplies power over MIDI as per spec, but it is most likely 3.3v not 5v, so older MIDI equipment may not work. I ran into that issue back when I had my electro 2 and electro 3. I had purchased a midi processor to correct some midi mappings between the NE2/3 and it wouldn’t power up.
Was a long time ago and all of the midi solutions boxes now support the lower 3.3v option.
It does not provide power over USB because there are currently no Nord models that run as a USB host.
Does Nord Stage 4 provide power over MIDI or USB ports?

I am using a CME WIDI Master and WIDI Thru6 BT with my NS4 and it works great.
The WIDI Thru6 BT requires a power adapter, but the WIDI master gets its power from the MIDI Output jack on the NS4.

I asked at MIDIsolutions support and need to report that still not all MIDIsolutions products are 'multivoltage' capable. Some still need 5 V which the Stage 4 will not provide - just see their web site.cgrafx wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024, 19:13 It supplies power over MIDI as per spec, but it is most likely 3.3v not 5v, so older MIDI equipment may not work.
