How do you know about the new features like a second synth part?Nico38 wrote:We are at the end of 2023, there is a good chance that the Nord Electro 7 will be announced at NAMM (or perhaps after), given the new features that will be brought, notably a second synth part (like the Nord Piano 5) and other things, in this case, we would have a 61-key keyboard which could be a little closer to a Nord Stage 2 than the current Nord Electro 6.

Re: Nord Electro 6D 61 - comparable with Nord Stage?
As far as the original question and the goal of having a light, nice-to-travel-with keyboard are concerned I would try to rent a Stage 2 or, if no longer available, a Stage 3 in the US, because:
- you can‘t be sure that you can take it onboard as handluggage
- the 110/115 volts change needs to be done
- I‘d prefer having a keyboard under my fingers that I‘m familiar with
What kind of music do you play or better, what kind of sounds and combis are your main thing?
Cheers from the middle of Germany

Re: Nord Electro 6D 61 - comparable with Nord Stage?
When we analyze the current Nord offer and the evolution of each range, it is not difficult to predict that the future Nord Electro 7 will offer 2 synth parts instead of just one. This characteristic is for me a rare certainty about the successor to the Nord Electro 6.Schorsch wrote:How do you know about the new features like a second synth part?Nico38 wrote:We are at the end of 2023, there is a good chance that the Nord Electro 7 will be announced at NAMM (or perhaps after), given the new features that will be brought, notably a second synth part (like the Nord Piano 5) and other things, in this case, we would have a 61-key keyboard which could be a little closer to a Nord Stage 2 than the current Nord Electro 6.

Re: Nord Electro 6D 61 - comparable with Nord Stage?
I think a dual "synth" on the NE7 would step a bit close to Stage territory, though the NS4 has three synth layers. I think Nord will likely stick to their "50% Stage" pattern for the NE7 and perhaps they would make the "synth" section more of an actual useful synth vs. a sample player with a few knobs.Nico38 wrote:When we analyze the current Nord offer and the evolution of each range, it is not difficult to predict that the future Nord Electro 7 will offer 2 synth parts instead of just one. I see - so it’s just personal speculating, nothing like confirmed information which your post sounded like. However, I think you have a good chance to be right or at least close to what’s coming next in the Electro worldNico38 wrote:When we analyze the current Nord offer and the evolution of each range, it is not difficult to predict that the future Nord Electro 7 will offer 2 synth parts instead of just one. Re: Nord Electro 6D 61 - comparable with Nord Stage?
yes-it is the trigger for my thoughts - but of course I want to look at the topic from 360°maxpiano wrote:This is probably the real key point.FZiegler wrote:Hand luggage? Sure? What about seriously calculating transportation fees? And comparing them to a rental?

The bottom line is that I currently see the following limitations with the NE6 for my use:
- no morphing
- No Synth-only samples
- 230/110V--> transforner
