i don't doubt that, but I'm curious - where are you getting your Nord sales figures? Because as far as I can tell, those are never made public. Clavia is not a publicly-held company.

Re: NAMM 2024
I don't have sales numbers, I was responding to a post that was asking for a Nord NS5 with song mode at NAMM 2024, so they could get their sales numbers up. I was making the point that Nord wouldn't be losing sales because the NS4 doesn't have Song Mode, and more importantly that if they were losing sales it would be due to other actual issues such as a functionally incomplete/broken MIDI implementation, or the reduced Dual Oscillator and oscillator + Noise options that now require two layers to accomplish what was possible as a single panel on the NS3.Gambold wrote:>Nord is not losing sales of the NS4 because of Song Mode.<

Of coarse somebody else noted that the NS5 post might have been intended as humor... so that's also entirely possible. If so... than... good job, you got me...

Yes, don't sleep on the Nord Grand 2!!M1tsos wrote:I hope for nord grand 2
Predict: Dual Panel functionality of the Nord Piano 5, new Unison feature from the Nord Stage 4, Dynamic Compression
+ Possibly double the Piano memory again while keeping the Sample memory the same (after all, it is a piano focused instrument, and should be functionally better than the Nord Piano)(Can we finally compete with the selection of Keyscape

According to law financial info is available also for private held companies. Rock solid company, check Clavia here: https://purehelp.se/Gambold wrote:>Nord is not losing sales of the NS4 because of Song Mode.<

Re: NAMM 2024
I think NG2 is a really good prediction! My guess is that going forward, all Nord instruments that have "panels" will start to take on the UI of the NS4, where everything is at the main level with sliders to control volume and the green LED level as first used on the NW2. This seems to be a very intuitive way of visualizing everything without needing to toggle around on panels or menus.Walker31415 wrote:Yes, don't sleep on the Nord Grand 2!!M1tsos wrote:I hope for nord grand 2

I am also curious on the form factor of future Nord Grand successors - will they keep the tall profile and angled control surface? Seems like a differentiator, though it also makes it a larger package to transport.

Re: NAMM 2024
I believe Nord Grand 2 depends more on Kawai or other keybed manufacturer than on Nord. And I am not sure Kawai is willing to give better grand piano action to its competitor. I had NG1 but I must say was little disappointed to its keyboard action. For comprison on that time I also owned Kawai CS-7 with better action. So IMO if NG2 comes out it should have better keyboard with perhaps smaller case. Not easy to be done because Nord has not easy access to those best grand piano mechanics. Companies like Kawai or Yahama keep the best actions for themselves.

Re: NAMM 2024
Well I don't read Swedish, but it looks like yes, sales are steadily increasing. On the other hand their cash on hand (kassa och bank) took quite a dip.

I would say a lot of the bump is from building name recognition and red boards that even entry level people know at a status symbol board.Gambold wrote:Well I don't read Swedish, but it looks like yes, sales are steadily increasing.
