Re: Stage 4 firmware 1.04 released
As mentioned in the update history (https://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/ ... te-history):
...
New UI behaviours:
Hold to Shift:
- Most buttons on the panel can now have their Shift function activated by holding down the button, without engaging Shift.
In the case of selector buttons this results in first moving one step, then going back+turning on the shift function
Section Solo:
- Pressing down on a section On button turns all other sections off, keeping only the pressed one (or turns it on)
...
My first impressions
- Hold to shift only seems implemented for the synth panel and the effects panel...
(which is kind of weird, as the right side of the synth has 2 shift buttons, and the left side has none...
'hold to shift' at left side would have been more useful)
- Section solo seems to apply to 'hold down a section On button', not just pressing down

This worked already in v0.98 but the "M" symbol is new (and useful).dannymo wrote:Does this mean we can morph CC values now? If so they really buried the lede!StuartR wrote: When Extern CC numbers are morphed, an “M” symbol now appears next to the dial(s)

Wow, awesome! I couldn’t find anything about this on the morph destination chart (manual v1.0 pp38); are there other oled panel morph destinations available? Thanks!sebi_f wrote:This worked already in v0.98 but the "M" symbol is new (and useful).dannymo wrote:Does this mean we can morph CC values now? I doubt this will be a priority for Nord as it is a "nice" to have, but not a "need" to have-spradders wrote:No news on fader catch/jump.

I was able to install my update to my Stage 1.04 before my Kronos was finished booting up during start up.

The Nord giveth; the Nord taketh away…

Ahahaha, very good one !!!Mr Clav wrote:I was able to install my update to my Stage 1.04 before my Kronos was finished booting up during start up.
I'm selling my Kronos 2 73 to buy the NS4 73... So tired of these excel-type synth layouts

Well, I don't really agree here. To me the catch/jump is a "must have" on any stage keyboard at this price tag.DJKeys wrote:I doubt this will be a priority for Nord as it is a "nice" to have, but not a "need" to have-spradders wrote:No news on fader catch/jump.

It's not great when you go through your patches during a show and have your sounds "jumping" as soon as you reach any pot.
Isn't the whole purpose of this keyboard to be tweakable during live acts ?
I can't understand why they didn't implement the "catch" right away.
