I needed a steel drum, what is missing in the NSMP4 Lib and resampled the sound from my Stage 3 as a direct import didn't work.

Nope, only user created samples can be loaded into the Stage 4
What does Nord expect us to do when we need a sample from their previous library to move our custom programs to the Stage 4? I really can't believe they release a new model without support for a compatible sample library.
For example, I have several production programs that require an A1 Prophet sample (from their V3 sample library). It's not available on the Stage 4 so what do I do?
Right now I have a Stage 4 keyboard that can't be used.
Please tell me there's a solution other than waiting weeks or months for them to create a new sample library.

I play the necessary sounds on my Stage 3 and record the sound with the Nord Sample Editor.
Not nice, not perfect, but works

OK, I probably found them in the strings section all named 'SymphStr XY'. They aren't marked as a collection. Thanks!

Thanks, I had thought of that but couldn't bring myself to believe Nord would put us into this situation. Disappointing to say the least.
I did notice that there IS actually a Nord Sample Library 4 but it's not fully fleshed out. I'm hoping I can find the A1 Prophet sample under another, more generic name therein.

I need a couple of sounds from the NSL3 that are not there to rotate a Stage 4 into a live rig too.. looks like I'll be sampling the old ones. It's a shame really, how did these get converted if the NSM won't convert them? What is the possible reason for building the incompatibility in? I also noticed the Silver grand in the Stage (and the XL version I use) is V6+ and a medium while the website is only V5. All the V6 grands sound noticeable different to me. So they did a Medium version and didn't do a S,L and XL? The tuning differences alone in the Wurly V6 samples are worth upgrading. Why not put all the Grands and Samples up at once?

Hi, Stuart-
Can't you recreate the A1 Prophet sound using one of the synth layers in the NS4?

Have to say that this has completely bogged me down trying to migrate from the NS3 to the NS4.
I’m having to either Sample the NS3… or my other keyboards… to replace many missing samples.
Add to this the fact that Sample Editor 4.2 ignores loop-points embedded in Wav files… and you have a recipe for many wasted hours. The looping tools in Sample Editor 4.2 are… less than ideal.
It never even crossed my mind that 3.0 samples wouldn’t load into the NS4 (nor could they be converted).
Had I known this, it definitely would have cooled my enthusiasm to upgrade.
Ultimately, I’ll assemble the sounds I need, but I’m sure glad I didn’t liquidate the NS3 to get the NS4.
What would have otherwise taken a couple days… will now take weeks.
Two big thumbs down regarding migration.
Anyone else feel like many of the 4.0 samples are less useful/usable?
Much prefer the 3.0 library.
That said, otherwise the NS4 sounds and plays great.

Oh that's really bad then, I stand corrected, I thought the problem was only with user created .nsmp (v1) but not with official Nord Library samples of any version.
