Re: Electro 7?
Not sure what you mean by "bi-timbral mode", but NE6 is already "bi-timbral" (meaning that you can layer, split or play from external keyboard, 2 different timbres=sections).Marcez wrote:Only one thing i hope: NE7 with bi-timbral mode.
If you mean instead that each NE section should be bi-timbral, then the answer is also that a product like that already exists and is called Nord Stage

Re: Electro 7?
Or Nord Piano 5. So nice idea for the Electro. I'd prefer an Electro with three parts, though. Like the new Yamaha CK.

I know but actually is not possible to play, for example, the Grand Lady on NE and strings on a master keyboard.maxpiano wrote:Not sure what you mean by "bi-timbral mode", but NE6 is already "bi-timbral" (meaning that you can layer, split or play from external keyboard, 2 different timbres=sections).Marcez wrote:Only one thing i hope: NE7 with bi-timbral mode.

This is what i would like.
Is possible only with Hammond with Dual Mode on, unless there is some trick I don't know.

Re: Electro 7?
This is certainly possible on the Electro 6. Use the EXTERNAL KBD TO LO button, which will allow any sound engine set to the Low side of the split to be controlled from a MIDI controller keyboard. This works in conjunction with the MIDI settings, where the EXTERNAL KBD channel needs to be different from the Global, and that the controlling keyboard is set to the same channel as the EXTERNAL KBD channel. In your program, you can now set a piano to the upper side of the split to be played on the Electro keyboard, and set a synth sound to the lower split, which can then be controlled by the external instrument through MIDI.
If you have CC enabled in the settings, active controllers such as volume control will work through the controller instrument as well.
It works very well. I hope these instructions are clear.

Re: Electro 7?
Pablo's relationship with Clavia was always a little opaque. Officially no, he didn't "work for Clavia." However, Clavia did promote him on their website (now removed) and Facebook (still there) as "our US tech support." So it's hard to see him as "not working for them" when they claimed him as their own:
This was not the only place where Clavia championed him as their USA go-to. If you dig you can find more. And Pablo promoted himself the same way. Here at 15:35 he gives a rundown of his role. He never mentions that he is NOT an employee of Nord, nor whom he actually works for. Hard to know this person doesn't work for Nord:
It was a gray relationship, and my guess was Pablo wasn't getting compensated (much) for it, and/or got tired of the yes I am, no I'm not aspect of the role...so he left this board. I did see him in the background of the videos from NAMM last year, wearing a Nord shirt, so he's still around. He's just not "working" for Nord anymore as their US support. No one is.

I'll try soon.

Re: Electro 7?
As I mentioned in another post why not put the Stage 4 firmware in the new Electro. Better still put it in a Stage 4 box and make a break with the Electro line and call it the Stage Electro. But here's the thing: there will only be one slot so it's half a Stage. Sell it at the same price as the Electro. The heavy hitters who need 2 of everything can buy the Stage and ordinary mortals like me get half a Stage which is still a lot more than the Electro 6 offers. Nord make it on it as well as all the tooling and components are shared so cheaper to produce - it's a win win for everyone.

Re: Electro 7?
NE6 is basically one panel of the 2-panel Stage 3, minus the knobby VA synth, External MIDI section, pitch stick, aftertouch, morph functions, and additional split point, output routing and effects controls (and the song mode, which is gone from the NS4 anyway).
From that, I can envision how an Electro 7 next year could be a scaled down NS4, removing many of the same things that were removed in scaling the NS3 down to an NE6 (e.g. fewer than 7 parts, no VA synth), but adding some of the NS4 enhancements like preset library, the ability for each sound to have its own effects, dynamic compression, unison, maybe the LED drawbars, more patch recall buttons, and presumably the synth sample functions that made it onto the Nord Piano 5 (Tru-Vibrato, round robin, mono and legato modes with glide).

Re: Electro 7?
It seems clear that the Wave 2 architecture used in the NS4 will be the way going forward. It will allow for more flexibility for all the upcoming products like the E7-
