Thanks for all the recommendations. I'm wondering if I just go with the Electro 6D or NS3C and possibly add an 88 key controller later.

Top. Remains nice to follow because at the price of an NS3C I would get an NE6D 73 plus the Kawai VPC1 which would be my favourite master. So your next question may be how much you want the Stageā€˜s real synth. Good luck then.

Someone is offering for sale a used Nord 2EX HP76 in the Keyboard Corner classified (https://forums.musicplayer.com). I think this has a weighted keyboard. I don't know how its keyboard action compares to the weighted action in an NS3 88-key model.

I have the HP76 in my Stage 3. It doesn't have as nice of a piano feel as the HA76 used in the Stage 2 or HA88 in the Stage 2/2EX/3 models, but for me it was easy to get used to. The HP76 is a lighter keyboard, however for some it eventually needs work to take care of mechanical keyboard noise (related posts on this forum), but that doesn't impact its playability or triggering of sounds.

So I ended up ordering an Electro 6D 73 and also a weighted 88 MIDI controller (used some gift cards / credits I had on Amazon). My logic is that I can use the MIDI controller at home to control the Electro and practice on weighted keys. When I want to play organ or for the occasional gig, I will just play the Nord. Total spent still under $3K with the good deal I got on the Electro 6D and the credits I used for the controller on Amazon.

Congratulations, I'm glad you were able to make a decision on your purchase. Good luck to you.
