How to create Metal Palm Mute rhythm guitar patch?

Here's the result of my labor. Note that only the background rhythm material is guitar, main line is overdriven rhodes, which is what I typically do. In this case, I'm playing bass on a Behringer PolyD (minimoog clone), but routing the MIDI out to double the bass with my rhythm guitar patch. Apologies for the imperfect performance, this was just a 1-take section of a song I'm working up for a gig:
