I have a two-board setup with NS3 and NW2 and just use one sustain pedal for both keyboards. The Extern section makes it easy to manage-

Schorsch, I always fix the rubberplate of my DP10 with one or two strips of gaffa tape on the stage floor. Always and everywhere! That‘s all you need to do to stop its „walking“.

I have a few of these pedal mats. Works pretty good. I tend to vary my keyboard setup a lot depending on what the gig calls for, so a having stuff mounted on a pedalboard is not really an option. But theese mats works fine.

Schorsch, I went with the Boss pedals and ditched “piano” style pedals a decade ago because a) a switch is a switch, and I learned/adjusted, and b) I got tired of the poor quality of most piano-style pedals. No matter the manufacturer, they just don’t seem to last me more than 3 to 5 years tops. Roland DP10, Yamaha, Fatar… they’ve all failed me eventually.

I actually have three Boss pedals joined, which creates enough mass to inhibit “walking away”, while not being so bulky. My third pedal is the latching version, which I use to toggle the Leslie, it has a red LED when engaged.

Thanks ajstan, but as I wrote in my first post I’m looking for something less spacey than the VFP2. I think I will mount 2 do-10 or Nektar NP-2 next to each other with a slim metal strip, using the screws at the bottom of the pedals. If that doesn’t work well I will re-think

Ah, I forgot that Fatar = Studiologic. Well, at least you prompted me to look at the VFP2. I wouldn't have though that the 1 1/2" difference in distance would be meaningful, but I tried out the spacing with my two current pedals (Nord and Yamaha FC4A) and it does. I think I might like the extra spacing for my wide feet and to go from two individual pedals to one unit. I just wish the sustain pedals came with detachable/replaceable cords.

Yeah I have to check this with my Yeti-feet too

And yes, I also wish that all sustain pedals would come with detachable cords for more flexibility and ease of fix in case of cable damages ....

Years ago, when the Yamaha DX-7 was first released, I bought two of them along with two Yamaha FC-7 control pedals. The DX-7s are long gone but I still have both of the FC-7s, and I'm using one of them in my rigs. Those two pedals were designed to be attached to each other. This was done by fastening two small rectangular metal plates with holes at their corners (like mending plates) to the pedals, each of which had two pairs of threaded holes along the bottom edges of the pedals. This works perfectly. Perhaps you could use a similar method for attaching two sustain pedals if they have rectangular bases and enough cased thickness to tap threaded holes. Or, much easier, I'd remove the bottom plates of the sustain pedals to see if I could simply drill holds in their sides and bolt them together, perhaps with a wood spacer piece between them.

A bit late to this thread, but here's my solution. I have two piano-style pedals and two expression pedals, mounted with Velcro on a sheet of an aluminium/polymer laminate used by signwriters – 'Alupanel'. Very light, thin and rigid. Rubber backed so it doesn't slide around.
