That said, the Electro offers some great stuff:
- More polyphony
- More piano and sample synth memory
- Better tone organ emulation
- Lighter weight

Oh goodness! Major misread on my part!
Go for it!
I'm not sure I've heard a significant difference in the Wurly samples between the 2 and the 6. The E6 allows you to load in the newer amped samples for Wurly and Rhodes, as well as the larger overall samples (for all pianos). The piano library from the E3 on is significantly superior to what's available for the E2.
I've not noticed a considerable difference in build quality over the years, and I've owned an E2, 2 E3's, an E4 and now an E6.
