I am using it on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 and Windows 11 Pro 21H2, no problem to connect my Nord Stage 3s to both of them.
Have you tried to run the Nord Sound Manager in administrator mode?
You may also try to run it in a specific compatibility mode, a good description on how to do it can be found here:
https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/set- ... windows-10
But all of this is kind of poking in the mist, I have no real other idea - it's weird that this problems appear since it should be a no-burner to connect the Electro 5 to a USB port ...

Same problem with Nord stage 3:
my old Laptop with Windows 10 works perfekt, new MS Surface with same connection (USB Cable) is unable to load the Clavia USB driver (neither under Windows 10 Home nor under Windows 11)

same problem with mij new Windows surfacepro 8.
I found on the web that it might have to do with 'core isolation' (a widows system feature) that may prevent the driver to load, but I cannot turn that feature off.
I asked Nord for support and I will communicate their answer

Even with this article?

yes even with that article. I cannot turn off the core isolation. Even as administrator I get a message that core-isolation settings are managed by the systemadministraor (which I am ...)
I informed Nord-support and they answered that they are looking in at it
I think they have to update the driver for W11

Did you ever get an answer to your problem? I had the same issue in a brand new HP laptop with Win11, but fortunately, the OS gave me enough clues to get around the problem. Just to clarify: one does not turn off the Core Isolation itself, but instead turns off a switch called "Memory Integrity." It was available to me in Win11 Setup as an Admin. The downsides:
1. This is disabling a security feature in Windows 11, probably not the best scenario.
2. It's not a temporary thing. Once Clavia64USB.sys is installed Win11 will not allow the memory switch to be turned back on, unless the driver is uninstalled.
and, probably:
3. MS will try to turn all security switches back on in future updates. This will either lock out the Nord driver, requiring another trip to Setup (best case); or cause future Windows updates to fail (worst case).

Here’s what worked for me on my new Surface Pro 7+ running Windows 11:
1. Open RegEdit and navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity
2. Set "Enabled" to "0".
3. Reboot the PC

Any news on this? I cannot turn on the core isolation feature in Windows 11 because of all the dozens (hundreds?) of software components on my system, only the Clavia driver is incompatible. C'mon folks... W11 isn't exactly brand new. Driver update please.

You should turn this
off (not on) to be able to install the driver.

I have to check at home with my work laptop (that runs W11), but I thought this just works on my laptop.
Next to that: we are not asociated with Clavia/Nord, so if you would like a driver update, you should
contact Clavia.

I've found the same problem "driver error" and solved disconnecting antivirus and it's brothers...
Many thanks Berretje!
