Make sure you have the latest OS loaded in your Nord Piano 2 as well. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I hope all of you are doing well during these times. Here are a few samples for a Hammond B3 split with left and right-hand settings for "Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum. Slow and fast Leslie samples are provided however the transition between the two requires a hand slide or something to break it up lacking the usual speeding up and slowing down so characteristic of the Leslie. For the song intro demo, I used hall reverb and also set the EQ to take off the high end and boost the low mids to sound closer to the original, however I've found in a live setting that the B3 doesn't need to be quite so "dark". On the other mp3 demos, I play a riff like those above with both hands and then demo the left and right Hammonds after that. "PH WhiterShade1" uses 008880000 on the left and 888600000 with slow 2nd harmonic percussion on the right. "PH WhiterShade2" uses 888808006 on the left and 880070770FL with slow 2nd harmonic percussion on the right (percussion off on fast Leslie version). I hope some of you get some use out of these. Take care.

Of course, they are just normal .nsmp that you can load and use in the NS2 Synth
But, just wondering, having the Organ Section on NS wouldn't use samples for Organ a little redundant (?), unless of course you want to mix Hammond + Vox/Farfisa (which is not allowed by NS2 Organ section, but possible on NS3) or maybe just have a "taste" of NS3 Organ sound (what was sampled in those .nsmp)

My previous samples were created using my Stage 3 B3 in stereo with a slow, fast, or stopped Leslie effect. I thought they would work well for Nord Piano players especially looking for background organ, however they lack the full effect one gets with a Leslie of being in control of the fast and slow transitions and hearing the rotors speeding up or slowing down. As some Stage and Electro owners take the approach of bypassing the internal Leslie effect and running their B3 through an external Leslie or Leslie effect, I thought some Nord Piano owners might want to do the same, so here are a few B3 samples without a Leslie and intended to be used with an external Leslie effect pedal such as the Neo Vent II, EH Lester K/G, or Strymon (see comparison at Besides putting the user in control of the effect, the sample size for each B3 setting can be quite a bit smaller as it doesn't have to be in stereo and the sample length can be shorter as there isn't a rotary effect to match up with the loops. The MP3s below demonstrate the "clean" sample and then follow with my Electro Harmonix Lester G pedal (slow and fast in some examples) and incrementing the drive. Take care.
NOTE Jan 24, 2023: "B3 888460000 NL Mono.nsmp" removed as it had a couple samples not properly looped. When I have the opportunity I'll repost. Take care
