I think I am a bad and boring person bcs I hate (and ultimately, don't understand) those kind of questions. Did you ever see a manufacturer announcing the next release date well in advance for a product that would potentially kill the sales of the 'incumbent' equivalent product?
I would check my box to find that note

That's Englitalian
You probably mean "impending" (release).
As for the question itself, I don't think it's intrinsically wrong to ask.* That said, even knowing that something new is about to be released, some people would still prefer to go with the slightly older-but-tested soon-to-be predecessor, while other people may want to wait until the thing actually gets released, even to just evaluate both options. Neither approach is wrong, but before spending that much, one may well wonder.
*That nobody here knows for a fact, or has heard rumours, or conjectures, or was told by a friend of a friend who works at Nord the answer to that question is obvious only to whom has been hanging around in the forum for a while - not necessarily to a new member, who may reasonably not be all that informed about even official latest announcements...

Englitalian? hahaha. Giusto ! Well, I was refering to the existing model in the market that a potential NE7 would replace.

„Incumbent“ as in „current model“ was the right idea, but the word is usually only used to refer to people holding office.
The phenomenon is called „Osbourning“, incidentally, after a notorious computer company who pre-announced a new product and instantly killed all sales of the current model, which drove the company bankrupt for lack of income to fund the new release.

Thanks to everyone who tried to answer my first question in this forum or who only gave their “interesting” opinion.
As it seems that at the moment there is no real release date for the Electro 7, I decided and ordered the new Nord Piano 5 as my first Clavia Nord because of a very good offer…

This sounds surprising to me. The NP5 has a quite different keybed than the Electro, different engines and a different specialisation. But if it's in the range of what you wanted...

This whole thread is a waste of time, resources, and bandwidth.
