No, don't think so. I already cited on the forum what was said about the new format on the Nord Piano 5 product page: round robin samples, unison blending several voices, true vibrato...

Interesting: "The Nord Sample Library 4.0 is only compatible with the Nord Stage 3, Nord Electro 6, Nord Piano 4, Nord Grand and Nord Wave 2."

Great news. But there's certainly missing that Nord Piano 5 that has NSL4 support already mentioned on the specs page.
And it will probably bring an OS update for the NS3, won't it?

That page is not public yet, the link is not on the top menu bar, so probably the text and contents are still being updated, better be patient and we'll see.

The new sample format is announced for the Piano 5. Therefore, it may actually be that it is only compatible for this for now. I am already very excited about the official announcement - everything else are hopes ...

There are some samples in there named "Multi"...
Perhaps not multiple layers, but multiple samples per note.

I, for one, would be overjoyed at beefier, more expressive non-piano samples. The comparison in the sample sizes above gives you an idea of how much more payload they carry. This could be a huge win for all owners of relatively recent Nords -- massive upgrade at no charge.

Would „round-robin samples“ mean that putting a brass sample in unison mode (or doubling it on the second slot) actually results in a fat brass sound, and not an ugly, phasing mess?
